UV offset printing inks refer to inks suitable for offset printing presses. Offset presses are also known as flatbed offset presses, and solid UV offset printing inks are also known as lithographic inks. According to the type of offset press, it can also be divided into four types: offset plastic ink, offset metal ink, offset matte ink, and offset scented ink.
Production
UV offset printing ink is a high viscosity slurry fluid. The resins used in the production of offset printing ink binders are mainly epoxy acrylates, polyurethane acrylates, etc. Depending on the boiling range, there are many different grades of ink oil. The colorants of UV offset printing inks are generally pigments, including organic pigments such as magenta, titanium cyan blue, and inorganic pigments such as titanium dioxide and carbon black. After mixing the binder, pigments, fillers and auxiliaries, they are dispersed on a grinder to obtain the finished UV offset printing ink.
Application
As the printing speed of offset presses is getting faster and faster, printing operators and users of printed matter have higher and higher requirements for the environmental performance of products. Therefore, ink manufacturers are required to continuously improve the quality of offset printing inks. It is required that the ink has good transfer performance, high tinting strength, fast drying speed after printing, long non-skinning time on the machine, and low content of heavy metals in ink products.
